Russian navy
One of the more frequent questions that seems to arise in contemporary naval discussions is, "Whatever happened to the Russian Navy?"
Liberty
In 1967 the government of Israel attacked the USS Liberty, a ship of the US Navy, in international waters on the high seas, killing 34 men and wounding another 171. Israel claims that the attack was a case of mistaken identity. Survivors and senior US government officials including Secretary of State Dean Rusk say it was no accident.
Philippines
The War from a Parlor: Stereoscopic Images of the Philippine- American War and Soldiers' Letters Home distributed within the U.S. and letters home from soldiers in the Philippines present conflicting interpretations of the Philippine-American War.
Texas A&M

WWW Site about US Troops in Austria To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Austria by allied troops from the USA, France, Great Britain, and Soviet Union we installed a WWW-application about the encounter of the people of Austria and US soldiers in the years 1945 - 1955.
