This diagram shows the Russian corps contained two infantry divisions and one cavalry division. The Infantry divisions each had 2 infantry brigades of two regiments of 4 battalions each and an artillery brigade. The cavalry division had 4 regiments of 6 squadrons each. In tactical deployment for battle the infantry regiment placed its battalions in column, the first deploying 4 companies on line, the second retaining its 4 companies in masses and the third remaining in mass for reserve.
