shoulder straps); Cavalry Captain (yellow branch color, branch insignia of
crossed sabers, two silver bars of captain on shoulder); Infantry Colonel
(silver eagle of rank on white shoulder strap); Major General, mounted (dark
blue shoulder straps of general officer, two stars of rank); Infantry Captain
(canvas leggings for dismounted service instead of the leather boots, two
silver bars of rank on white shoulder strap of branch); Artillery officer in
rear with red shoulder strap barely visible; Officer of General Staff (dark
blue shoulder strap, might be a major)
