TULA FORTRESS

 
 

Here we have some photos taken during a visit to the Tula Kremlin. A history of the place will be posted as soon as possible.Tula is 170 km south of Moscow and easily reached by tour bus as well as railroad. In addition to the fortress built in 1512-21 to defend against Tatar invasions the city is famous for its armory and expert gunsmiths and for manufacture of samovars. There are excellent museums for small arms and samovars.
