The Resurrection of Christ Church at BarashchakhThe area of the Earthen Town near the Yauza river was heavily settled by buroughs in the 17th. century. On both sides of Pokrovka street were the houses of service people that looked after the Tsar's campaign tents. Other buroughs were the gardeners, the state treasury workers, and that of the currency minters. |
