MOSCOW - SCENES

In the back yard of the Donskoi monastery one comes on this frieze depicting St Sergius Radonezh blessing Dmitri Donskoi before the battle of Kulikovo, shown here in a close up of a small part of it. This is among the many religious items collected from around Russia and tossed into this monastery in the 1930's.
