BORODINO BATTLE

This view from the raised monument showing the location of Kutuzov's field headquarters at Gorki village during the Borodino battle. We are looking from behind the right center of the Russian lines toward the left center. Clearly Kutuzov could not see much of the battlefield from here, but then he didn't care to, leaving tactical operations to his subordinates.
