He was the only son of Boris Aleksandrovich, appanage prince of Mikulin. He became appanage prince on the death of his father in the 1470's until 1485. His sons were princes of Mikulin without udels - Vladimir, Yuri, Vasilii, and Ivan Lugvitsi who died about 1522. The family is shown on this chart.
