BORIS IVANOVICH GORBATII-SHUISKI (?)

He was a son of Ivan Ivanovich Gorbatii-Shuiski. He was a boyar and leading military commander during the reign of Vasilii III. His son was Aleksandr, a leading military commander and government official during the reign of Ivan IV. Aleksandr Borisovich participated in the siege of Kazan. He was imprisoned with his son, Peter, at the beginning of the Oprichnina terror in 1565. The family is shown on this chart.
