He was the son of Boris Konstantinovich, grand prince of Niznigorod and Maria Ol'gerdovna, prince of Lithuania. He became grand prince of Niznigorod. He married Maria. Their son was Aleksandr Vsmetin, appanage prince of Suzdal-Niznigorod. The family is shown on this chart.
