OLEG SVYATOSLAVICH (? - 1180)

He was the son of Svyatoslav Ol'govich, appanage prince of Novgorod-Severia, and Maria. He became appanage prince of Novgorod-Severia from the death of his father about 1164 - to 1176 and then he moved up to be appanage prince of Chernigiv. He married about 1165 with Agraf'ia daughter of Rostislav Mstislavich, appanage prince of Smolensk and then prince of Kyiv. Their sons were David and Svyatoslav, prince of Chernigiv. He should not be confused with his grandfather, Oleg Svyatoslavich, son of Svyatoslav II, who founded the family line at Chernigiv before dying in 1076. Both Oleg's are shown on this family chart.
