He was the son of Gleb Yur'yevich, prince of Turov and a daughter of Rostislav Mstislavich, prince of Kyiv. His son was Gleb, prince of Stepansk. Gleb's son was Ivan Glebovich and Ivan's son was Vladimir also prince of Stepansk but without udel. They are shown on this family chart.
