He was the son of Yaroslav Vsyevolodovich, prince of Chernigiv and Irina. He married about in 1187 with Vsyeslava, daughter of Vsyevolod III Yur'yevich, Bolshoye Gnezdo, grand prince of Vladimir. He died without issue. He appears on this family chart.
