VASILII FEDOROVICH (15th cent)

 
   
 

He was a son of Fedor Andryeyevich, appanage prince of Starodub. He became appanage prince of Romodanov. His sons were Vasilii, Ivan, Semyon, Yuri, Fedor, Mikhail and Boris, all princes Romodanovski without udels. Boris had a son, Petr. The family is shown on this chart.
The Romodanovski udel was a village of Romodanov, east of Starodub. Vasilii was the first and last prince of Romodanov with udel rights. His sons, Vasilii and Ivan, were Moscow Boyars. In the 17th century Prince Gregorii Grigor'yevich, son of boyar Grigori Petrovich, was a prominent military commander for Tsars Alexei and Fedor, who won victories over the Turks and Tatars in the Ukraine. He was killed by the streltzi in 1682. His sons were Mikhail and Andrei. Yuri Ivanovich Romodanovski was a special confidant of Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich. The Romodanovski family was famous during the reign of Peter I in the person of Prince Fedor Yur'yevich, who, while not a boyar, was Peter's favorite and special purpose henchman until he died in 1717. The family died out in 1730.
