He was a son of Vasilii Ivanovich, prince of Yaroslavl. He also was
prince of Yaroslavl. His sons were Petr Shastun, Bakhtiyar, Dmitrii, Andrei,
Semyon Shastun-Krivoi, Ivan, Daniil Dokh (whose son
was Andrei) Dmitrii Kut, princes of Yaroslavl without udels. His daughter was
Anna, who married Ivan Mikhailovich, prince of
Vorotinski. The family are shown on this chart.
Most of the princes who were left without udels when Yaroslavl was incorporated
into Muscovy became serving princes and/or voyevodi to the Moscow princes,
Ivan III, Vasilii III, or
Ivan IV.
