History:
This udel was divided out of the Karachev principality in the first half
of the 14th century . It was given to rule to Andrian, second son of the
Karachev prince Mstislav
Mikhailovich. Andrian's descendents retained udel powers until the
middle 15th century after which they went into the service of the Moscow
princes and their udel was liquidated. Ivan Bolkh, son of Andrian
Mstislavich was the founder of the Bolkhovski princely family. Among the famous
descendents of the Bolkhovski family was Prince Ivan Andryeyevich, a
voyevod for Ivan III and namestnik at
Pskov 1463-1466. The last families from the Zvenigorod princes were divided

Princes Rumikii from Ivan Vasil'yevich Rum; and Princes Spyachi from Mikhail
