This narrow inlet is well depicted in one of the Simpson paintings we have in
the Simpson section. The painting shows that the sheltered nature of the harbor
didn't protect it against heavy snow during the terrible winter. At the top of
the picture is the dark ridge line of Causeway height and just north of it the
valley in which the Light Brigade charged from left to right.
