BALAKLAVA BATTLE -

We are standing on the east side of the very narrow inlet that forms Balaklava harbor. The Genoese fortress of Chembalo is on the ridge directly behind us. The Black Sea is on the left. The inlet makes a dogleg turn to the right before opening into the harbor itself. |
