Inetrior of the commissary building . The beef was supplied from Pittsburg, preserved in salt in barrels. Other barrels contained flour, whiskey, salt and bacon all supplied by civilian contractors. The commissary officer was Captain John Mills, a veteran of the Revolutionary War.
