Subtitle: How China's Rise Threatens Our Natural World - Review by
Jeffrey Wasserstrom in WSJ, April 23, 2013, book published by St. Martin's
Press, 289 pgs.
Reviewer comment:
Mr. Wasserstrom depicts Mr. Spmons as and environmental journalist. The book
subtitle describes the author's principle concern. He considers the 'larger
point' to be: What could make China's rise most dangerous to the rest of the
planet, Mr. Simons suggests, is the global spread of wasteful life styles that
first took root in the West." Never mind the Chinese Communist Party's
disgraceful record on suppressing human rights or killing thousands of
disidents.
