kremlin is a triangle with the Neglinniya river on the left side and a moat
filled with water from the river on the right side where Red Square is. Then
next to it is Kitai Gorod also with a wall and another moat and then there is
the semicircular half donut shaped Belii gorod or white city named for the
white wall outside it. Note the wide space outside the Kremlin and Kitai Gorod
walls for defensive protection. The wide boulevard and parks that run from the
circle in front of the Lubyanka past the Kremlin to the Kammeny most occupy
this space today. Then there is the Zemli gorod or Earth city outside that.
These walls are now the location of the inner and middle ring roads
