Savveno-Storozhevoi monastery nearZvenigorod west of Moscow - View of the women's terem palace in center, lower porch of the bell tower on extreme left, cathedral on the right. This was a favorite place of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and his family. His wife and her court ladies occupied the special women's palace separate from the monk's quarters and Tsar's quarters. The women's palace is now restored as a fine museum.
