He was the son of David Vsyeslavich, prince of Polotsk. Boris also was prince of Polotsk. He married with Svyatokhna Kasimirovna, princess of Pomerania. Their sons were Vsyeslav, prince of Polotsk; Vyacheslav, prince of Kukenoys; and Vladimir, prince of Drutsk. The family is shown on this chart.
