He was the son of Roman Mikhailovich, appanage prince of Beloozero. He married about in 1339-40 with Feodosia, daughter of Ivan I Daniilovich Kalita, grand prince of Moscow. Their son was Ivan, prince of Beloozero. The family is shown on this chart.
