SEMYON VASIL'YEVICH (15th cent)

 
   
 

He was a son of Vasilii Vasil'yevich, grand prince of Yaroslavl. He became appanage prince of Novlen. His son was Daniil, appanage prince of Novlen. And he had a daughter, Anna, who married Yaroslav Vladimirovich, prince of Maloyaroslavits. The family is shown on this chart.
The Novlen udel was created out of the Yaroslav principality at thesame time and the Zaozerski-Kubenski udel in the 15th century. It was in the basin of the Sheksn river near Kuben. The first udel prince was Semyon, third son of Vasilii Vasil'yevich. His son, Daniil was the second and last independent prince of this udel since his descendents entered Muscovite service.
