He was a son of Vasilii Dmitriyevich Kirdyapa, appanage prince of Gorodets. He was prince Shuiski. His sons were Vasilii, and Fedor, princes Shuiski; and Ivan, prince or crown prince Shuiski. The family is shown on this chart. His descendents were important boyars and military figures. His great-great-great-grandson, Vasilii Shuiski, finally managed to get the throne as Tsar of Moscow during the Time of Troubles. |
