Here Micha and Maxim are studying the inside of the Russian gate. This gate is actually a rectangular fortress with gates in two opposite sides and an open court in the middle. There was a hydrolyic apparatus here to control the level of the river so that it could be raised to aid in defense. The gate is 7 on the plan.
