ARMENIAN BASTION

Here we have walked from the Russian gate as far as possible along the river, to our left. Now, above us, towers the Armenian bastion on the right. On the left is a section of the rest of the city gate fortifications (see 6 and 5 on the city plan). Inside this latter work there is now an Armenian restaurant in which we had an excellent dinner.
